Muhammad Syafiq Bin Shahari earned his Ph.D. in 2022 from Monash University, specializing in synthetic medicinal chemistry. In October 2022, he joined the Center for Drug Design at the University of Minnesota as a postdoctoral associate. In this role, he has been actively involved in designing and executing multi-step synthetic routes to prepare small molecule inhibitors targeting viral proteins, as well as assessing their biological activity through various enzyme-based assays.
